Dry Needling In Adelaide

Dry Needling Information

  • All needles are disposed of after each treatment so there is no chance of cross contamination. The clinic runs at exceptionally high hygiene standards.
  • Dry needling may not be suitable for all patients, and like all other services provided at PHYX, will only be recommended after thorough assessment of your specific condition.
  • Dry needling can be provided as sole treatment, or more commonly used in conjunction with other physiotherapy treatment techniques such as mobilisation and massage.
  • Ask your physio or when making your next appointment if Dry Needling would be suitable for you.

Dry Needling for pain relief

Dry needling can be very effective in treating tight muscles. The needles are inserted into or around the trigger points and tight spots in your muscles, helping them to relax. This can help to improve movements and decrease pain. The World Health Organisation recognises that dry needling can be a helpful treatment for the following conditions:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Headaches
  • Sciatica
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Muscle Pains
  • Arthritis
  • Shoulder pain
  • Knee pain

All our physiotherapists are trained in Dry Needling and can use it within your treatment. For more information, please contact us 8356 1379.
