Workplace Injury

We understand that having work injury and everything that is involved when recovering can sometimes be a little difficult, physically, mentally and emotionally. Sometimes, speaking with others who have previously been involved in ReturnToWorkSA can be off-putting. Common complaints are that they felt that “their team” wasn’t working together, or for them, and there was a lot of pressure and stress on them to achieve certain goals when they weren’t really ready.

In our experience, this feeling of stress and lack of control is more likely to happen when there is poor communication between your team, including the physiotherapist, the case manager, doctor and rehab consultant. If no one is communicating regularly, everyone gets their own ideas and naturally will be pulling you in different directions. This can quickly translate to you feeling like you have little control over your own recovery and leave you feeling upset and stressed.

That is why at Phyx, we value and ensure open communication channels. You will be working very closely with your physio and seeing them regularly, therefore they are the ones who really get to know you and understand how you are recovering and feeling. To take the stress off of you and ensure that everyone is in on the same page, we follow up with the rest of your team every week! We make a quick phone call or email to let them know of how you are going and what we are working on. This way you can be sure that everyone is working towards the same goals, working for you and your best interests. All you need to do is to focus on you feeling better.

It can be scary not knowing what lies ahead. But with our experience working with ReturnToWorkSA, our knowledge about rehabilitation inuries and our value and beliefs about clarity and regular communication, you can stress less!
